A netbook komputer or netbook komputer, also known as a netbook or netbook for short, is a small, portable individual komputer (PC). Netbooks typically have a clamshell form faktor with a flat panel screen (usually 11-17 in or 280-430 mm in diagonal size) on the inside of the upper lid and an alphanumeric keyboard and pointing piranti (such as a trekpad and/or trekpoint) on the inside of the lower lid, although 2-in-1 PCs with a detachable keyboard are often marketed as netbooks or as having a "netbook model".[1][2] Most of the computer's intern hardware is fitted inside the lower lid enclosure under the keyboard, although many netbooks have a built-in webcam at the hebat of the screen and some kekinian ones even fitur a touch-screen display. In most cases, unlike table computers which run on mobile operating systems, netbooks tend to run on desktop operating systems which have been traditionally associated with desktop computers.
Netbooks run on both an AC power suplai and a rechargeable baterai pack and can be folded shut for convenient penyimpanan and transportation, making them suitable for mobile use.[3] Today, netbooks are used in a variety of settings, such as at work (especially on business trips), in education, for playing game, situs searching, for individual multimedia, and for general home komputer use.
The names "netbook" and "netbook" refer to the fact that the komputer can be practically placed on (or on hebat of) the user's lap and can be used similarly to a netbook. As of 2022, in American English, the terms "netbook" and "netbook" are used interchangeably;[4] in other dialects of English, one or the other may be preferred. Although the termin "netbook" originally referred to a specific size of netbook (originally smaller and lighter than mainstream netbooks of the time),[5] the termin has come to mean the same thing and no longer refers to any specific size.
Netbooks combine many desktop components and capabilities into a singgel unit, including the central processing unit (CPU), random-access memori (RAM), hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state drive (SSD), and graphics processing unit (GPU). Most kekinian netbooks include a built-in webcam and microphone, and many also have touchscreens. Netbooks can be powered by an intern baterai or an eksternal power suplai by using an AC adapter. Hardware specifications may vary significantly between different tipes, models, and price points.
